Corvin,
You are correct the timing of the release is to sway the undecided votes. Just look of how hard the right wing is working to discredit the film and trying to put public pressure on the movie theaters to not show it. They seem to have no counter arguments to what Moore's is saying only that by watching it you are "Un American" and as a good American we shouldn't watch it. As being raised a Jdub I have always been of the opinion that if someone tells me I can't watch or read something, I will deliberately go out of my way to watch it. I don't agree with Michael Moore completely but let me be the judge of what I will believe for myself.
I have to thank Yeru for answering my question. Although just like a previous poster said George Bush being supreme commander and chief in a time of emergency, there was no way he didn't know that they were using the air force one plane to fly the bin Ladens out of the country. Was it because George was still in shock and didn't know what to do? Like he sat for 11 minutes reading a book to an elementary class while the nation was under attack?? Maybe he was in shock like most of us but you have to ask yourself is this what a commander and chief should be doing in a time of national emergency? Should he have shown real leadership and made a public statement to the nation? I ask why did the news networks not ask these though questions?

Still no one here has brought evidence to the contrary of if Bush did or didn't after 9/11, fly out of the country in secret all the bin Ladens, when there was a complete ban on commercial air flights. I am not saying the bin Ladens had anything to do with 9/11 attacks but within hours they suspected Usama and Al-Qaeda as being behind these attacks. Why weren't these family members held for questioning? I am sure that some of them might have known something but instead they were snuck out of the country. Maybe the news networks should have been asking these though questions instead of playing cheer leader for George Bush. At least Michael Moore has the guts to ask these unpopular questions. Oh but let see how we can degrade this conversation and what other names we can call him....

my mom had her valve replacement and triple by-pass surgery today.
the operation lasted five hours, and they had just gotten her to her room at 8:00pm when she went into cardiac arrest.
the doctor tried everything, even opening up her chest and massaging her heart.
Karen,
My deepest sympathies to you. My mother is around the same age, so I know what you must be going through.

Moore is controversial, but I'm not aware of him being caught in a lie. I haven't seen ANYONE on this thread present a thread of evidence to refute the 'facts' Michael Moore has presented in his documentaries.
I seen Michael Moore's movie, " Bowling For Columbine" and read his book, " Dude Where's My Country?" I agree he seems a little over the top sometimes but you are correct when you said no one can refute what he is saying. In his book, " Dude Where's My Country?" he backs up all he says with reams documentation.
As another poster put it "Moore is passionate and at times, over the top" "Moore cares about America, and no one seemed to mind when he was exposing the wrongs done to the auto workers. Now that he is attacking the status quo, it's a whole new ballgame".

Because he is fat, his opinion doesn't matter? Or his fatness outweighs his argument? Or it doesn't really matter that he is heavy? I'm confused.
With that type of reasoning, I guess that would mean we shouldn't listen to what Russ Limbaugh has to say either?

.
i was wondering if anybody here has any stories about members of the governing body?
has anyone here personally met one of them?.
Grant Suiter dedicated the assembly hall in our area. That was about 30 years ago. I recall he did a tour of the facilities. I was a food volunteer and as i recall he spoke to myself and a friend of mine. He seemed like a very friendly sort what I remember.
Also at a DC some 30 years ago the guest GB speaker happened to be Leo Greenless. I remember meeting him after the convention and being all in awe of him. He was wearing a pea green pair of pants, white sport coat and white shoes. I read somewhere on here that some years later he was removed as a GB member due to the fact that he had a thing for young boys or something like that.

Yes I don't see any evidence contrary to my point of how Bush protected his pals the bin Ladens, just an attack on Michael Moores physical person. I am not going into the smear tactic of what one political party says about another as it goes on both sides. I like to stick to the facts and I don't mind debating intelligent arguments as long as it doesn't get personal.

I have to agree with you that Michael Moore can be a bit arrogant at times but he does make some good points. I read his last book and he made the Bush/bin Laden connection in there How days after 9/11 a dozen or so bin Ladens were flown out of the US in the dark of night when there was a complete air traffic ban. It was news to me and I am sure many others and was hushed up.
